The US Department of Justice has charged Oleg Deripaska with violating sanctions. This was reported by the press service of the department.
In addition to the businessman, charges were brought against Russian woman Natalya Bardakova and US citizen Olga Shriki. The last one was arrested today.

Bardakova, on behalf of the businessman, was distributing Shrika's instructions.
The case also mentions Deripaska's «girlfriend» Ekaterina Voronina. According to the prosecution, in 2020, Bardakova and Shriki helped her come to the United States so that she could give birth to a child there with Deripaska.
Despite Deripaska's continued support for the Russian regime, he funded hundreds of thousands of dollars worth of transactions so that his child could receive US citizenship by birthright and enjoy the benefits of the American healthcare system, the US Department of Justice said in a statement.
The indictment says about the intention to confiscate from Deripaska «the proceeds of his crimes, including property in the United States and money received from the sale of a music studio.»
In April, French authorities arrested Deripaska's villa near Saint-Tropez, and in March, London anarchists seized a mansion that is associated with a businessman.
