MOSCOW, Oct 3 Federation of Gymnastics (FIG) due to the admission of delegations from Russia and Belarus to the forum, reports Inside the Games. It would also be incompatible with the position of the Polish Ministry of Sports and Tourism and the huge support among Poles for sanctions against Russia and Belarus,» said Piotr Dec, Secretary General of the Polish Federation. In October 2022, the congress will not be able to take place in Sandefjord (Norway) as the Norwegian Gymnastics Federation was unable to organize it due to demands from the Olympic Committee and the Ministry of Culture Norway does not invite representatives of Russia and Belarus to the forum. In March, Russian athletes were suspended by FIG from competitions under its auspices due to the situation in Ukraine.
