
MOSCOW, Oct 5 Russian and Belarusian boxers got the right to compete in international competitions under the flag of their country, according to the website of the International Boxing Association (IBA). On March 4, the IBA banned Russian and Belarusian boxers from participating in international competitions due to the situation in Ukraine. The council also banned Russia and Belarus from hosting competitions under the auspices of the organization on their territory. On Wednesday, the IBA canceled the decision not to allow Russian and Belarusian boxers, as well as technical delegates to international tournaments. Also, Russian and Belarusian athletes will be able to hear the anthem of their country if they win the competition. The current president of the IBA is Russian Umar Kremlev, who on May 14 in Istanbul Congress of the organization was re-elected for a new term. From October 14 to October 22, the European Women's Championship will be held in Budva, Montenegro, and the World Youth Championship will be held on November 14-26 in La Nucia, Spain. The men's world boxing championship will be held next May in Tashkent.
