Go to the media bankMOSCOW, Oct 4 The Federation Council approved a federal constitutional law at a meeting on Tuesday on the admission of the Kherson region to the Russian Federation and the formation of a new subject of the Russian Federation. On September 30, President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin spoke in the Kremlin following the results of referendums in the DPR, LPR, Kherson and Zaporozhye regions, after which he signed agreements with their heads on the admission of regions into Russia. Later, the Constitutional Court of Russia found these treaties in line with the Constitution of the Russian Federation. The law is submitted to the president for signature. more
