In his opinion, information about the proposed agreement appeared at the most inconvenient moment for the White House, since it could interfere with the Democrats in the midterm congressional elections. They will take place next month. As reported by the Financial Times, Russia, Saudi Arabia and other OPEC + states want to significantly reduce oil production to support prices. According to the publication, countries can reduce the pace of energy production by more than a million barrels per day. At the same time, Bloomberg reported that OPEC + is considering reducing production by two million barrels per day.
