Archival photo MOSCOW, Oct. 9 The sanctions are inhuman, they violate the right to life of the citizens of Zimbabwe, Speaker of the National Assembly of the Parliament of the Republic Jacob Mudenda said in an interview with RIA Novosti. He recalled that Zimbabwe President Emmerson Mnangagwa, speaking at the 77th th session of the UN General Assembly, called for the immediate lifting of all sanctions against his country. «We would like to believe that the voice of our president has been heard loud and clear. These sanctions are not only contrary to international law… They are debilitating because our financial institutions cannot access sources of financing for the economic development of the country, and the poor suffer the most from this, also because the government does not have enough funds to import medicines to provide for the poorest segments of the population,» Mudenda said.
