In St. Petersburg, 60-year-old Irina Tsybaneva was prosecuted because of a note left on the grave of the parents of President Vladimir Putin. Her son Maksim Tsybanev reported this to Mediazona.

According to him, the woman went to the cemetery last Thursday, October 6, and on Monday morning, October 10, a policeman came to her apartment.
“She did not open for a long time, but in the end he promised to open the door, and she opened it. She was taken away yesterday at 15:00 to the 35th [police] department. There was something for a long time. As a result, by night she called and said that there would be a search. We immediately went to her house, but she was not there. And we didn’t notice any traces of a search,” Tsybanev said.
Today, October 11, Irina Tsybaneva was taken to the Primorsky District Court of St. Petersburg. According to Sergey Trusov, a lawyer by appointment, who defends a Petersburger, the case against her was opened under Part 2, Clause “b” of Article 244 of the Criminal Code (desecration of the bodies of the dead and their burial places, committed on the grounds of political, ideological, racial, national or religious hatred or enmity), and the investigation intends to apply for detention.
“What is in the note is not known for certain. But she said that there was a wish to die,” added Maxim Tsybanev.
As a result, today the court did not consider the petition for a measure of restraint, the term of detention of the St. Petersburg woman was extended by 48 hours.
