File photoDOHA, Oct 10 United Arab Emirates President Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan's visit to Russia is aimed at «helping to achieve effective political solutions» to the crisis in Ukraine, the UAE Foreign Ministry said in a statement to Emirates News Agency WAM. Earlier, Russian presidential spokesman Dmitry Peskov said that Vladimir Putin would hold talks in St. Petersburg on Tuesday with UAE President Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan. His visit to Russia will be the first since his appointment as President in May.» Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan's visit to Russia tomorrow will take place as part of the UAE's ongoing commitment to regional and global security and stability, and to strengthen fruitful and constructive cooperation with regional and international forces, engage with all parties involved in the crisis in Ukraine to help achieve effective political solutions,» the ministry said. The UAE is «fully prepared to support efforts aimed at creating a political solution to the crisis in Ukraine,» calling for diplomacy, dialogue respect for the fundamentals and principles of international law.
