MOSCOW, Oct. 11 Two-time Olympic hockey champion Alexander Kozhevnikov commented on the statement of the owner Stanley Cup Dominik Hasek about the participation of Russian players of the National Hockey League (NHL) in exhibition matches in the Czech Republic. Earlier, Hasek said that the leadership of the NHL disrespected the position of the Czech Foreign Ministry, allowing Russian players to exhibition matches in Prague. He stressed that «the NHL is no longer welcome in the Czech Republic.» «Why pay attention to him … Hasek has already begun to bark at the NHL. This is a diagnosis!» — quotes the words of Kozhevnikov «Sport-Express». In Prague, on October 7 and 8, exhibition matches of the NHL between San Jose and Nashville were held. Russian forwards Yevgeny Svechnikov and Yakov Trenin took part in the games.
