Trade between Russia and the United Arab Emirates has doubled to $5 billion, UAE President Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan said on Tuesday. «We have increased our trade turnover from $2.5 billion to $5 billion… I hope that in the coming years, we will be able to significantly increase all these indicators,» he said at a meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin in St. Petersburg. Al Nahyan added that today there are 4,000 joint companies. «We will also celebrate the opening of the first Russian school in the Emirates … Everything strengthens the bridge of cooperation that connects us,» the UAE President said.
