MOSCOW, Oct 11 Russian referees have not been appointed to the World and European Championships in figure skating 2023, according to the official website of the International Skating Union (ISU). The European Championship will be held from January 23 to 29 in Espoo, Finland, the World Championship will be held on March 20-26 in Saitama, Japan. Also, judges from Russia were not invited to the junior championship world, junior and adult world championships in synchronized figure skating and the championship of four continents. On March 1, against the backdrop of events in Ukraine, ISU suspended Russian and Belarusian figure skaters, speed skaters and short track skaters from participating in international tournaments. In June, the ISU Congress approved this decision, it will remain in effect until further notice. In March, Russian judges were not allowed by ISU to work at the 2022 World Figure Skating Championships.
