State Duma deputy denied information about Yuran's participation in fixed matches

MOSCOW, Oct 12 Roman Teryushkov, a former member of the Khimki board of trustees in In an interview, he called rumors that the former coach of the Moscow Region team, Sergei Yuran, was involved in match-fixing. In August, Yuran left the post of head coach of Khimki near Moscow. Earlier, the media reported that his departure was associated with participation in fixed matches.

"These are all rumors, you are right. Talking about Juran and fixed matches is unrealistic (laughs). This is all a kind of game, because Juran did not just leave. When I invited him to a short-term contract, we agreed that he would be at the club for a very long time. But it was not possible to conclude a long-term contract for a number of reasons, including because of the intrigues that began to be inflated in the media. In my opinion, they have no basis, and what we got is that a promising coach left, and the club has now slipped. In his place came pseudo-specialists who somehow appeared in the club. I have already said that all decisions are made by the director, which is probably why the person has changed in this position,» said Teryushkov.

Khimki (8 points) occupy the penultimate place in the standings of the Russian Premier League (RPL). During the season, the head coach changed twice in the team, over the past two years the club has changed five general directors. Read the full interview with Roman Teryushkov at rsport.ria.ru.
