Vyacheslav Volodin expressed condolences to the relatives and friends of the parliamentarian. «Nikolai Yuryevich was a professional and responsible person. <…> Blessed memory,» the press service quoted the speaker as saying. The head of the lower house of parliament noted that the voters trusted the deceased, and his colleagues respected him .Petrunin was born in 1976 in the city of Vyazniki, Vladimir Region. Graduated from Vladimir State University, candidate of economic sciences. Petrunin was elected to the State Duma in 2016 on the list of United Russia. The deputy represented the Tula region in the lower house, was the first deputy chairman of the energy committee.
