
MOSCOW, October 13, Andrei Senchenko. Opening of a memorial plaque in honor of the football player and hockey player of the capital's CSKA and the USSR national team Vsevolod Bobrov took place in Moscow. President of the Russian Ice Hockey Federation Vladislav Tretiak, member of the Supervisory Board of CSKA Boris Mikhailov, club president Igor Esmantovich, head of the Kontinental Hockey League (KHL) Alexei Morozov and veterans of Russian sports took part in the solemn ceremony.
 
Hockey coach Vsevolod BobrovAs part of the CSKA football team, Bobrov became the champion of the USSR three times and twice won the Cup of the country. As a hockey player, Bobrov won the USSR championship six times along with CSKA and the MVO Air Force team. Also, Bobrov is a two-time world champion in hockey and the champion of the Olympic Games — 1956. Bobrov performed both at the Summer Olympics (1952) and at the Winter Olympics (1956). In both cases, he was the captain of the national team. As a coach, he won the championships of the USSR, the world and Europe, and also led the national team in the 1972 Super Series against the Canadian team. December 1 marks the 100th anniversary of the birth of Vsevolod Bobrov.
