“I am grateful to NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg for his support of Ukraine. We have come a long way and de facto joined the alliance. Ukraine is already making a significant contribution to the security of the free world. I am confident that our victory and successful reforms will open new horizons for Ukraine,” he wrote.
Earlier, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky announced that he was applying for NATO membership in an accelerated manner. His statement was made after Vladimir Putin and the heads of the DPR, LPR, Zaporozhye and Kherson regions signed agreements on the regions joining Russia.
