
MOSCOW, Oct 14 Director of Russian Railways for Communications Yury Nagornykh elected Chairman of the Board of Directors Moscow Lokomotiv, according to the website of the football club. He replaced Alexander Plutnik, who resigned and left the board of directors. Nagornykh is 51 years old. In 2019, he joined the board of directors of Lokomotiv. From 2010 to 2016, Nagornykh was Deputy Minister of Sports of the Russian Federation. In December 2017, the International Olympic Committee (IOC) banned Nagorny for life from participation in the Olympic Games in any capacity. This decision was made on the basis of an investigation by an independent commission of the World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA), headed by Richard McLaren.
