File photoMOSCOW, Oct 14 Mikhail Podolyak, an adviser to the head of Vladimir Zelensky's office, said that Kyiv will figure out how to ensure the functioning of Starlink after the refusal of American entrepreneur Elon Musk to finance communications services supplied by his company in Ukraine. «Ukraine will find a way to get Starlink up and running. We expect the company to provide a stable connection until the end of negotiations,» Podolyak tweeted. Musk confirmed on Friday that his company SpaceX could no longer pay for Starlink's satellite communications system in Ukraine. Commenting on the situation with the Starlink satellite network, he also said that he was only following the advice of Andriy Melnik, the former Ukrainian ambassador to Germany, who had sworn at him. Earlier, a journalist from the Ukrainian edition of the Kyiv Post wrote on Twitter that Musk’s decision to no longer pay for the maintenance of his Starlink satellite communication system in Ukraine followed a few days after Melnik obscenely advised Musk to go to hell. Earlier, American media, citing documents, reported that SpaceX could no longer pay for the maintenance of the Starlink satellite communications system in Ukraine and asked the Pentagon to cover these costs. To date, a total of about 20,000 Starlink terminals have been transferred to Ukraine. On Friday, Musk tweeted that the related operations had cost SpaceX $80 million and will exceed $100 million by the end of this year. Starlink is a next-generation satellite network designed to provide broadband Internet access around the world.
