MOSCOW, Oct 18 Former Italian cyclist Mario Cipollini sentenced to three years in prison freedom for injury, abuse and harassment of his ex-wife Sabrina Landucci, according to Corriere della Sera. Cipollini was charged in 2017 after Landucci testified. The court, in its decision, went further than the requirements of the prosecutor's office, which, in the indictment, asked for two and a half years in prison for Cipollini. Also, 55-year-old Cipollini will be obliged to pay compensation to his ex-wife in the amount of 80 thousand euros plus five thousand for legal costs. Landucci was married from 1993 to 2005, the former spouses have two daughters. Cipollini won the crimson jersey of the best sprinter of the Giro d'Italia three times, and at the stages of this race he won 42 times, which is a record.
