MOSCOW, Oct 18 Former Liverpool player Leighton Maxwell sentenced to eight years in prison for drug dealing, reports The Sun. Maxwell allowed the gang to use his home in Cardiff as a drug warehouse for a total of £6 million. More than 60 kg of cocaine, crack cocaine and heroin were found in the house of the 43-year-old ex-footballer, as well as 2.5 million pounds sterling.According to the prosecutor's office, Maxwell received 500 pounds a month for being a courier for the needs of criminals. He was one of eight defendants sentenced to a total of 80 years in prison. Maxwell is a graduate of Liverpool, played one match for the main team and scored one goal. He also played for Cardiff City, Swansea City and other teams.
