Takahashi himself, who had previously been arrested on three episodes of corruption, was arrested for the fourth time on Wednesday. The total amount of bribes received from Sun Arrow Inc. and ADK, is 54 million yen (more than 370 thousand dollars). Earlier it became known that Takahashi, being in the leadership of the organizing committee, received bribes from three more companies: KADOKAWA publishing house (for obtaining the status of a sponsor of the Games and orders for printing booklets, programs, guides for OI); from the office clothing company AOKI (for obtaining the status of a sponsor and contracts for suits for the organizing committee and the right to use the symbols of the Olympics on their suits), and from the advertising company Daiko (for the right to deal with the affairs of sponsoring companies). Part of the bribes were transferred to the accounts of Takahashi himself, as well as to the account of a consulting company owned by his friend and junior colleague from his previous work in the leadership of Dentsu, one of Japan's largest advertising companies. Takahashi was previously a member of the management of this company. In total, on four episodes, Takahashi is charged with taking bribes in the amount of 196 million yen — at the current rate, this is $ 1.35 million, and at the rate at the time of taking bribes, the amount was close to $ 2 million.
