MOSCOW, Oct 19 American grandmaster Hans Niemann had his king piece broken during a game A video posted on Twitter by the St. Louis Chess Club shows how his opponent Samuel Sevyan, during Niemann's move, takes the king from him, breaks off the top of the piece and puts it back on the board, but on a different square. The video shows Niemann angered by his opponent's actions. Previously, Chess.com, the world's most popular chess site, suspected Niemann of cheating in more than 100 online games. The 19-year-old American was accused of cheating in offline matches — he allegedly used anal beads with a remote device. In St. Louis, before the game at the US Championship, the organizers conducted an examination of Niemann, including in the buttocks area. Before that, the reigning world champion Magnus Carlsen accused Niemann of cheating. In September, the Norwegian withdrew from the final stage of the Grand Chess Tour in St. Louis, USA, after losing to Niemann. According to the Norwegian edition of VG, he made such a decision, as he suspects his rival of fraud. Carlsen faced Niemann again on September 19 at the online Champions Chess Tour and decided to resign after two moves of the game. The International Chess Federation (FIDE) has said it will investigate Carlsen's allegations of foul play by Niemann, as well as the American's allegations of Internet fraud. Niemann himself has previously denied allegations of cheating, although he admitted to breaking the rules at least twice fair play: first at the age of 12 in an online tournament, and then at the age of 16 in an unranked game during the stream.
