Mostovoy was accused of insulting all Russian football players from the 90s

MOSCOW, 26 Oct. Former Spartak football player Valery Kechinov called offensive the words of the ex-forward of the Red-Whites Alexander Mostovoy about the titles won by the capital team in the 1990s. According to Mostovoy, Spartak of the Romantsev era invited all the best players and in the class he won the championship, the overall level of which is significantly inferior to the modern RPL.

"I was lucky to play in "Spartak" 90s. As for the level of the championship, I do not think that there were such weak teams and there was such a weak level of the championship. There were very strong teams and competitors: "Alania", "Rotor", "Lokomotiv", "Dynamo".

Mostovoy insulted all the players who played in the 90s. How can you talk about it like that? We are colleagues, we need to be treated with respect", — said Kechinov in an interview with"Championship".

In the current season of RPL «Spartak» takes the second place in the standings after 14 rounds. The Red-Whites have 29 points, the leading Zenit have 36. The last time the capital club became the champion was in the 2016/17 season.
