Club «Valdai» takes place from 24 to 27 October in Moscow. Its theme is «The World After Hegemony: Justice and Security for All». Putin has traditionally met with Valdai participants since its founding in 2004. Over the course of its operation, the club has become a recognized platform for interaction between leading world experts and Russian scientists, politicians and government officials — over the past years, more than a thousand representatives of the world scientific community from 84 states. Today, Valdai focuses on research in the field of global political and economic processes. This year, Valdai brought together 111 experts, politicians, diplomats and economists from 41 countries. Moreover, the geographic representation of the invitees was affected by the changed geopolitical situation and the renewal of the Russian partnership system: there were much more participants from the countries of the Middle East and the Maghreb, Asia, Latin America, Africa and the CIS.
