MOSCOW, Nov 21 Up to 10 foreign private military companies are at war on the side of the armed forces of Ukraine, Andrey Marochko, an officer of the people's militia of the LPR, said.
He stated the increase in the number of foreign mercenaries in the ranks of the armed formations of Ukraine, arriving from the post-Soviet republics, countries of Eastern Europe and NATO.
«Private military companies there are quite a few here too. Now I find it difficult to say exactly how many, but there are about 10 of these private companies. They are a cover for those regular NATO forces that are here in Ukraine,» Marochko said on the air of the Rossiya 24 TV channel
He recalled that even before the special military operation in Ukraine, there was a so-called foreign legion, which included representatives of Poland, Lithuania, Latvia, and Estonia.
«Now this» foreign legion «was rather badly battered our troops, and they crashed into bo some smaller groups, from a platoon to company tactical groups, and perform various tasks here, in the Donbass. First of all, this is an intimidating action, that is, they act as detachments, these are assault units, because they have skills and experience, and now the Ukrainian armed forces lack qualified personnel,» Marochko specified.
