PARIS, Nov 30 China does not supply arms to Russia, says Chinese Ambassador to France Lu Shae on Wednesday.
«No. I don't think Russia needs Chinese weapons,» the ambassador said in an interview with BFMTV in response to a question about whether China is supplying weapons to Russia.
He stressed that China maintains a neutral position on the conflict in Ukraine and stands for its peaceful solution.
«We want peace. Our position on Ukraine is to advance the negotiation process,» Shae added.
Russia launched a military operation in Ukraine on February 24. President Vladimir Putin called its goal «the protection of people who have been subjected to bullying and genocide by the Kyiv regime for eight years.» For this, according to him, it is planned to carry out «demilitarization and denazification of Ukraine», to bring to justice all war criminals responsible for «bloody crimes against civilians» in Donbass.
