A student of the Financial University under the Government of Russia, Matvey Yudin, was detained in the building of the hostel of the university and taken to the Savelovsky military registration and enlistment office. Matvey's brother Kirill Yudin told Kholod, SOTA and Important Stories about this.
According to Yudin, early in the morning of December 2, police officers, in addition to 18-year-old Matvey, detained him at the hostel and took him to the same the military registration and enlistment office had “six or seven” more students and kept it there without communication for 15 hours. Yudin added that the guards did not let Uncle Matvey “beyond the iron gates” of the military registration and enlistment office, referring to the fact that this is a secure facility.
Yudin claims that his brother has “all the necessary deferrals, he is not on the military register,” as he is undergoing full-time training. Later, Matvey was able to inform him that attempts to force university students to sign a waiver of deferment were sent to a collection point on Ugreshskaya Street, after which he again stopped communicating. The lawyer and relatives, Yudin explained, are not allowed into the assembly point.
On November 28, employees of the criminal investigation department in civilian clothes brought the artist Daniil Shershnev to the military registration and enlistment office in the Savelovsky district of Moscow, then he was taken to a training camp on Ugreshskaya street and sent to the Tver region to do military service. The young man's mother also failed to get to the collection point.
On the same day in Samara, Yegor Beschastnov, a member of the Libertarian Party of Russia (LPR), was detained and forcibly taken to the military enlistment office when he was drawing up a power of attorney at a notary. In the spring, the activist applied for alternative civilian service (ACS), but the courts denied him this right twice. On November 29, Beschastnov wrote that he was in Kazakhstan, without explaining how he had crossed the border.

On the evening of December 3, the Financial University confirmed the detention of five students in a hostel on Baltiyskaya Street. “Indeed, five students who had previously graduated from college, and, therefore, lost their right to re-deferral due to their studies at the university, and who did not register on time for military registration, were taken to the military commissariat,” said representatives of the university.
According to the university, two out of five students were sent for an additional medical examination, and three were recognized as fit for military service. “The university administration is in constant contact with students and provides them with the necessary support, as well as interacts with the military registration and enlistment office,” the press service noted.
