BUENOS AIRES, Dec 7 Vice President of Peru Dina Boluarte will be sworn in as president in front of parliament on Wednesday, the country's congress said.
Earlier on Wednesday, President Pedro Castillo dissolved parliament, which was supposed to consider his impeachment for the third time. However, the parliamentarians still gathered for a meeting and decided on the president's resignation.
«At 15.00 (23.00 Moscow time) at the plenary session of the Congress, Vice President of Peru Dina Boluarte will take the oath as head of state,» the report says.
Earlier, Boluarte said she does not condemn Castillo's decision to dissolve the congress because it violates the constitutional order.
«This is a coup d'etat that exacerbates the political crisis,» she wrote on Twitter.< br>
