MOSCOW, 10 Dec. American Thinker contributor Noel Williams called for «dementia» as the word of the year, linking the disease to US President Joe Biden's condition and his political decisions.
Williams said cognitive impairments in America's older politicians are becoming more apparent.

«Congressman and former White House physician Ronnie Jackson noted Biden's symptoms of dementia and recommended that he take a cognitive test. I understand his concerns: Biden's strange behavior, from shaking hands with a ghost to the Easter bunny story, more unsettling perhaps its ominous allusions to nuclear Armageddon and its warnings of severe illness and death. If we are getting the leaders we deserve, why have we done such a bad thing?»

Williams recalled that the US constitution has a lower age limit for participation in the presidential race or work in Congress, but there is no upper age limit, which created a dangerous situation in the States.

"President Harry Truman lamented that aging and decrepitude are the "terrible diseases of legislation". The median age of senators in 1951 was 56.9. Now it has risen to 64.3 with a corresponding increase in old age. Biden also proved that frailty can be a terrible presidential disease. That's why the word «dementia» deserves to be the word of 2022,” says Williams.

Biden has become the oldest US president in history. He regularly gets into awkward situations and makes reservations: for example, he repeatedly called his deputy Kamala Harris president, mispronounced the name of Russian leader Vladimir Putin, confused the words «vaccination» and «escalation», Syria with Libya, and Iran with Iraq and Ukraine.
