MOSCOW, Dec 14 to combat possible threats in the form of drones and cruise missiles, Bloomberg reports, citing NATO Joint Air Command Deputy Commander Johnny Stringer.
«NATO is considering how to strengthen its air and missile defenses to combat such threats as commercial available drones and cruise missiles,» the agency said.
Stringer also told the agency that the alliance needs to focus on strengthening air defense in various ways from radar and early warning systems to missiles in «accordance with the threats» that faces NATO.
The deputy commander of the command noted that over the past decade, the number of challenges facing NATO has increased, including due to the possibility of some ry countries, as well as terrorist groups to acquire and use drones as weapons.
