WARSAW, Dec 15 Sejm of Poland (lower house of parliament) adopted a resolution in which Russia is called «a state supporting terrorism».
«The Sejm of the Polish Republic recognizes the Russian Federation as a state supporting terrorism and using terrorist means,» the resolution, which the deputies adopted at the evening meeting, says.

The Seim also stated that Russia is committing «an act of international piracy by armed means, blocking Ukrainian ports and paralyzing sea communications along the routes leading to them without declaring war.»
The deputies called on the Council of Ministers of Poland to continue actions to impose anti-Russian sanctions, as well as «to further support Ukraine in the fight against the aggressor.» The Seimas also called on the international community «to develop a mechanism for paying war reparations to Ukraine and compensation to states, organizations and individuals who suffered losses in connection with the war.»
The Seimas resolution is advisory in nature and does not provide for any legal consequences or consideration other authorities.
The Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE) in October unanimously approved a resolution accusing Russian political parties of «complicity in terrorism.» The final text of the resolution proposes «to recognize Russian political parties that previously voted for illegal decisions that encroach on the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine and other countries as organizations that promote terrorism.»
The parliaments of Estonia and Poland have already adopted such a resolution separately. Member of the Moldovan Parliament from the ruling Action and Solidarity party Dmitry Alaiba said that Chisinau should follow the example of other countries.
After that, the Russian Foreign Ministry stated that PACE adheres to an extremely aggressive line towards Russia. The ministry noted that this only confirms the correctness of the decision taken by Russia in March 2022 to leave the Council of Europe, which has lost its objectivity.
The head of the State Duma Committee on International Affairs, Leonid Slutsky, said that PACE had lost the remnants of logic. Senator Sergei Tsekov said that the resolution has no legal force, it's just «shaking the air.» According to State Duma deputy Oleg Morozov, listening to PACE decisions is like looking at a «stuffed diplomacy» in a museum. Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova said that Polish politicians are engaged in Russophobia «because of the blackness of their souls,» and also with the money of the collective West.
