Declaring Russia a «state that supports terrorism,» Poland is peddling, Warsaw should take into account that the confrontation with the Russian Federation has always ended tragically for the country, Vladimir Dzhabarov, first deputy head of the international committee of the Federation Council, said on Thursday.
Polish Sejm (lower house of parliament) ) adopted a resolution in which Russia is called a «state that supports terrorism.» The legislators also blamed Moscow for the downing of the Malaysian Boeing and the plane crash in Smolensk, which killed the top Polish leadership. The senator stressed that if they behave this way, and in Poland they openly declare that they are ready to resist Russia, they must remember that Warsaw's anti-Russian campaigns have never been successful; for the country, the confrontation with Russia has always ended tragically. «Let them come to their senses,» the senator said.
He believes that Poland is peddling, relying on its older overseas brother, «not realizing that if something happens, no one will help them.»
The parliamentarian also recalled that the decision of the Polish deputies is advisory.
