MOSCOW, Dec 19 Critical infrastructure facilities damaged in Kyiv, said the mayor of the city Vitali Klitschko.
Earlier, Klitschko reported explosions in the Shevchenko district of the city. The regional military administration said that critical infrastructure facilities in the region were damaged. The energy company DTEK warned that emergency blackouts were introduced in Kyiv on Monday.
«As a result of the attack on the capital, there is damage to critical infrastructure facilities. Energy and heat workers are working to quickly stabilize the situation in energy and heat supply,» Klitschko wrote in his Telegram channel.
The RF Armed Forces started striking Ukrainian infrastructure on October 10, two days after the terrorist attack on the Crimean bridge, behind which, according to the Russian authorities, the Ukrainian special services stand. The strikes are carried out on energy, defense industry, military command and communications facilities. Since then, air alerts have been announced in the Ukrainian regions every day, sometimes throughout the country.
