
MOSCOW, Dec 20 Residents of one of the districts of Dnepropetrovsk in Ukraine the fifth day they remain without electricity, water and heat, the Ukrainian edition of Strana writes on Tuesday.

Head of the public council at the mayor's office of Dnepropetrovsk, Gennady Korban, explained that this happened through the fault of employees of the national energy company Ukrenergo.
«After the missile attack on December 16, three emergency shutdowns were carried out, as a result of which a transformer substation located on the territory of Yuzhmash burned down. It supplies power to a large area of the city, so for the fifth day a huge number of people without electricity, heat and water», — quotes the words of Korban «Country».
According to him, the critical infrastructure of the region was also left without power supply. At the moment, its work has been restored, and the gradual distribution of electricity to consumers begins.
«We hope that today during the day the entire district will finally receive electricity,» Korban added.
Strikes on Ukrainian infrastructure of the RF Armed Forces began on October 10 — two days after the terrorist attack on the Crimean bridge, behind which, according to the Russian authorities, the Ukrainian special services stand. The strikes are carried out on energy, defense industry, military command and communications facilities throughout the country, from Kharkov and Kyiv to Lvov and Ivano-Frankivsk. Since then, air alerts have been announced in the Ukrainian regions every day, sometimes throughout the country.
