
MOSCOW, Dec 22 conflict in Russia — almost 2.9 million people, which is significantly more than in Poland and Germany, follows from the data of the German statistical aggregator Statista.
The aggregator published data on the number of refugees from Ukraine registered in Europe and Asia. Information was collected from February to December 13.
Thus, according to statistics, most of the Ukrainians during this period left for Russia, Poland is in second place.
«Nearly 2.9 million refugees from Ukraine… were registered in Russia as of October 3, 2022. In addition, more than 1.5 million reportedly fled to Poland as of 6 December 2022,» the message on the aggregator's website says.
In addition to Russia and Poland, Ukrainians immigrated to Germany (a little over 1 million as of November 22), the Czech Republic (467 thousand as of December 6), Italy (173 thousand as of December 6) and a number of other European countries.
The aggregator also publishes data on crossing the Ukrainian border from February to December 13. According to these data, most people left Ukraine for Poland — 8.2 million people, at the same time, over 6 million people left Poland for Ukraine.
Earlier, UNHCR reported that by August 30, more than 2.4 million Ukrainian refugees had arrived in Russia, more than 1.3 million people in Poland, over 971 thousand people in Germany, and more than 423 thousand people in the Czech Republic.
