Arrested in the «Tyumen case» Danil Chertykov from Yekaterinburg and Roman Paklin from Surgut sent letters to the support team saying that they were not being provided with the necessary medical care.
Chertykov wrote from SIZO-1 in Tyumen that his health was «rapidly deteriorating.» He reported persistent headaches, colds accompanied by fever and sore throat, and deterioration of his teeth. According to the support group, the employees of the pre-trial detention center do not give Chertykov vitamins that are vital for him.
Paklin, who is in SIZO-2 of Zavodukovsk in the Tyumen region, also said that his health, despite visiting a doctor, is not improving. According to the anti-fascist, the Magnesia injections given to him for high blood pressure do not help.
At the end of November, Paklin had already informed lawyer Vladimir Lopyrev that he was not receiving the necessary medical care. The anti-fascist spoke of high blood pressure, poor eyesight, difficulty with the mobility of the left arm, and slow reaction times. The lawyer noted that Paklin has a suspicion of diabetes, the young man is emotionally depressed, looks unsatisfactory and “holds on to the last of his strength.”
For the first time, Paklin reported pains in his heart in September. His girlfriend claimed that the anti-fascist «had lost his hand» after electric shock torture, which, according to Paklin himself, took place in the hangar, where he was taken from home after his arrest. The young man recalled that the security forces threatened him with rape with the words: “You will go to the zone like a rooster.”
As part of the «Tyumen case» in late August and early September, six anti-fascists from Tyumen, Yekaterinburg and Surgut were arrested. According to investigators, they were going to blow up military registration and enlistment offices, police departments and railways, along which trains with military equipment go to Ukraine. The defendants themselves deny their guilt and say they confessed under torture.
«After every electric shock, I had to shout that I love Putin.» How the torture «Tyumen case» works
Two musicians, Kirill Brik and Deniz Aidyn, were the first to be detained in a vacant lot near CHPP-2 on the outskirts of Tyumen on the evening of August 30. They said that they were going to test homemade explosives there, which they made «out of curiosity.» According to Aidyn, after being detained, they were beaten, forced to sign confessions and name four friends from the Burevestnik libertarian library in Surgut. All of them were detained in the coming days and sent under arrest in Tyumen.
In early November, three defendants in the case — Nikita Oleinik, Roman Paklin and Kirill Brik — were transferred from SIZO-1 in Tyumen to SIZO-2 in Zavodoukovsk, 100 kilometers from the regional center. The defense admitted that there, after refusing to confess, torture could be used again.
