
MOSCOW, Dec 22 Volodymyr Zelensky said on Thursday that , returning from the United States, met with President of Poland Andrzej Duda.
«On the way home, I met with a friend of Ukraine, President of Poland Andrzej Duda. We summed up the results of a year that brought historical challenges due to a full-scale war. We discussed strategic plans for the future, bilateral relations and interactions at the international level in 2023,» — wrote Zelensky in his Telegram channel.
On Wednesday, Zelensky arrived in Washington, where he held talks with US President Joe Biden and addressed the US Congress.
Earlier, the media reported that a number of Republicans in the US Congress, despite the warm welcome of Zelensky, are not yet ready to commit themselves to continuing financial assistance to Ukraine. House parliamentary organizer Stephen Skalis, a Republican, said there are concerns about whether the money will go to its intended destination. US House Republican leader Kevin McCarthy, who advocates cutting US aid to Ukraine, who was present at the meeting, said that his position on this issue had not changed after Zelensky's speech.
