The Isaklinsky District Court of the Samara Region sentenced 44-year-old district police officer Gakil Badertdinov to 3 years in a penal colony. This was reported by the Axioma human rights project.
In the fall of 2018, in the village of Shentala, in the well near the house, the body of Badertdinov's wife Gulnaz was found, who committed suicide. A case of incitement to suicide was opened against a policeman who had beaten his wife for several years (Part 1 of Article 110 of the Criminal Code). The Badertdinovs' daughters said that «dad drank often — every day or every other day.» Neighbors repeatedly saw how a woman with underage children ran out of the house at night and waited for Badertdinov to calm down. Gulnaz's relatives also knew about the beatings.
A woman at least twice went to the doctors with injuries. For example, in 2013 she was diagnosed with a traumatic brain injury, a concussion of the brain, a contusion of the soft tissues of the face and temporal region.
When Gulnaz left her husband with her children, he called and wrote her messages with threats and insults. Three days before her death, Badertdinova visited doctors complaining of poor sleep and anxiety.
