The publication notes that the head of the British Treasury Jeremy Hunt is expected to announce an increase in the spring.
«Defense spending should rise by over a billion pounds… Treasury has taken the argument that the defense budget should not fall relative to inflation while war rages in Ukraine,» the report says .
The publication adds that military experts believe that in order to avoid a real reduction in the budget of the Ministry of Defense in 2024-2025, it should increase from 48.6 billion pounds (58.6 billion dollars) to 50.1 billion pounds (60.4 billion dollars) — at least 1.5 billion pounds (1.8 billion dollars).
