
MOSCOW, Dec 28 Kharkiv Mayor Igor Terekhov urged city residents to be in shelters, an air alert has been declared in the region.
«Kharkov is under shelling. I ask everyone to stay in shelters and take precautions,» Terekhov wrote in his Telegram channel.
According to the data of the online map of the Ministry of Digital Development of Ukraine, an air alert has been declared in the region. Ukrainian media report that clouds of smoke are visible in Kharkov.
The RF Armed Forces started striking Ukrainian infrastructure on October 10, two days after the terrorist attack on the Crimean bridge, behind which, according to the Russian authorities, the Ukrainian special services stand. The strikes are carried out on energy, defense industry, military command and communications facilities. Since then, air alerts have been announced in the Ukrainian regions every day, sometimes throughout the country.
