
WASHINGTON, Dec 30 US President Joe Biden writes off convictions of six Americans, including the woman who murdered her abusive husband half a century ago.
The remaining five were convicted in different years for minor crimes related to drug trafficking, and since then lead an exemplary life.
«President Joseph R. Biden today granted full pardons to six individuals,» the White House said in a statement.
One of those pardoned, 80-year-old Beverly Ann Ibn-Tamas, at the age of 33, being pregnant, shot dead her husband, who, as it was established by the investigation, used physical and verbal violence against her, including in the time of a fatal quarrel for him. The woman, according to a press release, was sentenced to imprisonment for a term of one to five years, it is not specified how much time she spent behind bars.
