MOSCOW, Jan 5 transfer the tanks to Ukraine in the future, Sky News reports, citing British Foreign Secretary James Cleverley.
When asked what commitments Britain would make, the minister noted that London was providing Kyiv with military equipment that could deliver «a decisive blow to Russian targets at a distance.»
«Tanks may well become part of this (obligations). Where they get them from, what allies will provide them — this is what we are, of course, working on with each other,» Cleverley said.
Earlier, Russia sent a note to NATO countries because of arms supplies to Ukraine. Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov noted that any cargo that contains weapons for Ukraine will become a legitimate target for Russia. The Foreign Ministry of the Russian Federation stated that the NATO countries are «playing with fire» by supplying weapons to Ukraine. Press Secretary of the President of the Russian Federation Dmitry Peskov said that pumping Ukraine with weapons from the West does not contribute to the success of Russian-Ukrainian negotiations and will have a negative effect.
