MOSCOW, Jan 6 US President John Biden once again pointed to participation of the West in the conflict with Russia in Ukraine, said Senator of the Federation Council Alexei Pushkov in his Telegram channel. Pushkov wrote.
Earlier, the American president noted that the conflict in Ukraine «is at a critical stage,» and Washington, in his opinion, should «do everything possible» to help Kyiv.
Biden's statement was made against the backdrop of publications in the leading American media that the United States on January 6 intends to allocate the largest package of military assistance to Kyiv for a record three billion dollars.
Russia has been conducting a military special operation in Ukraine since February 24. Vladimir Putin called its task «the protection of people who have been subjected to bullying and genocide by the Kyiv regime for eight years.» According to the president, the ultimate goal of the operation is the liberation of Donbass and the creation of conditions that guarantee the security of Russia itself.
