UN Jan 6 major clashes in Ukraine against the backdrop of Russia's declared ceasefire on Christmas Day, spokesman for the UN Secretary-General Stephane Dujarric said at a briefing.
«Our colleagues on the ground report that they have not seen reports of intense or major fighting,» Dujarric said.
At the same time, he pointed out that the UN troops are not everywhere and do not monitor the entire line of contact.
