Yakutian anti-war activist and leader of the punk band Crispy Newspaper Aikhal Ammosov, which was reported missing in December by his friends and the Free Yakutia Foundation, he wrote in his Instagram stories that he was safe.
“Finally, I got in touch. I am very happy about it. First I want to ask your forgiveness for making you worry. I am good. I am alive, well and now I am safe. The fact that I suddenly disappeared is not just like that. There were good reasons for this. I had to do something, solve everything quickly, ”Ammosov said in a message. Along with this, the activist published a photo in which he collects things.
Ammosov, who is accused of «discrediting» the army (Part 1 of Article 280.3 of the Criminal Code), has not been in touch since December 11. Two days later, as acquaintances of the activist said, he did not come to the Yakutsk City Court for a hearing on his criminal case. At the same time, two weeks later, an entry appeared on his Instagram with a quote from The Lord of the Rings: “Wait for me at the first ray of the sun, I will come on the fifth day from the east.”
Yakut punk against the war. The author of the poster «The groom has arrived» is on trial in a criminal case on «discrediting» the army
The case against Ammosov was opened in August. The reason for it was a banner with the inscription Yakutian punk against war, which the activist posted on the roof of the Samorodok pool in the center of Yakutsk. Ammosov himself repeatedly said on his social networks that employees of the Center “E” were following him.
The activist was fined three times under the protocols on “discrediting” the military (part 1 of article 20.3.3 of the Code of Administrative Offenses) because of graffiti «No to war» in three languages, leaflets «Stain your hands with paint, not blood» and a picket near the branch of «Ritual Service» with a poster «The groom has arrived«.
