MOSCOW, Jan 9 Explosions sounded on Monday in a Ukrainian city Ochakov in the Nikolaev region, reported the city administration.
«Explosions are heard in the city,» the mayor's office said in a Telegram channel.
Ochakov is part of the Nikolaevsky district, the former administrative center of the abolished Ochakovsky district — until 2020 it was also a city of regional subordination. It is a seaport on the Dnieper-Bug estuary. The population is more than 13.6 thousand people.
Attacks on Ukrainian infrastructure of the RF Armed Forces began on October 10 — two days after the terrorist attack on the Crimean bridge, behind which, according to the Russian authorities, the Ukrainian special services stand. The strikes are carried out on energy, defense industry, military command and communications facilities throughout the country. After the strikes on November 15, Ukrainian Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal said that almost half of the country's energy system was disabled. In December, Volodymyr Zelensky said that it is now impossible to completely restore the energy system of Ukraine.
