The earthquake was recorded at 17.47 UTC time (20.47 Moscow time) 341.1 kilometers northeast of the village of Tual in the province of Maluku with a population of 39.5 thousand people. The outbreak lay at a depth of 95.2 kilometers.
There were no reports of casualties or damage.
