MOSCOW, Jan 10 ) of Ukraine supported the confiscation of the property of the son of ex-president of Ukraine Viktor Yanukovych Alexander, which is located in the Russian Crimea and Donetsk, according to the Ukrainian Anti-Corruption Center.
Earlier, the Anti-Corruption Action Center reported that in mid-December, the highest anti-corruption court of Ukraine confiscated the property of the country's ex-president Viktor Yanukovych, including the Mezhyhirya residence, money in bank accounts and cultural property worth 18.7 million euros.

«The Appellate Chamber of the Supreme Anti-Corruption Court granted the appeal of the Ministry of Justice on the recovery of assets registered to Viktor Yanukovych Jr. to the state's income,» the message of the Anti-Corruption Action Center on the Telegram channel says.

The organization explained that earlier the High Anti-Corruption Court of Ukraine refused to confiscate the assets of the son and wife of the ex-president. The Ministry of Justice appealed this decision.

«VAKS confiscated houses with an area of ​​1.5 thousand and more than a thousand square meters, two outbuildings, as well as two land plots located in Donetsk. In addition, the court recovered the property of Yanukovych Jr. in Crimea. In particular, non-residential buildings and structures with courts and VAKS also collected a 2007 Toyota Land Cruiser 100 car in favor of Ukraine,» the Anti-Corruption Center added.
Earlier, Volodymyr Zelenskyy signed a decree enacting the October 12 decision of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine (NSDC) on sanctions against oligarch Serhiy Kurchenko, ex-president Viktor Yanukovych, Russian oligarch Oleg Deripaska, and Yanukovych-era Ukrainian Defense Minister Pavel Lebedev .
Crimea became a Russian region in March 2014 following a referendum following a coup in Ukraine. In the 2014 referendum, 96.77% of voters in Crimea and 95.6% in Sevastopol were in favor of joining Russia. On September 30, Putin spoke in the Kremlin following the results of referendums in the DPR, LPR, Kherson and Zaporozhye regions, after which he signed agreements with their heads on the admission of regions into Russia.
