WASHINGTON Jan 12 White House Confident Investigation will prove the unintentional nature of the appearance of secret documents in the private office and home of current US President Joe Biden, and are ready to cooperate with the special counsel, US Presidential lawyer Richard Sauber said in a statement. Earlier Thursday, Attorney General Merrick Garland announced the appointment of Robert Hoore as special counsel for of how papers constituting state secrets ended up in unsuitable storage facilities during Biden's time as a private citizen.
«We are confident that a thorough check will show that these documents were moved unintentionally, and the president, along with his lawyers acted promptly upon discovery of the error,» the report says.
«We have worked closely with the Ministry of Justice throughout the audit and will continue this cooperation with the special prosecutor,» — Sauber added.
Part of the classified material was found in the Washington think tank office used by Biden between his vice presidency in the Obama administration and the current presidency. The second portion of the papers was stored in a garage storage room in Biden's personal home in the town of Wilmington.
