UN Jan 14 Total civil and critical damage Ukraine's infrastructure exceeds $127 billion, First Deputy Foreign Minister of Ukraine Emine Dzhaparova said at a meeting of the UN Security Council.
«According to the latest estimates, the total amount of damage caused to Ukraine's civilian and critical infrastructure is more than $127 billion,» Dzhepparova said.
In mid-November 2022, Ukrainian Finance Minister Serhiy Marchenko said that the damage to infrastructure caused since February can be estimated at $100 billion.
In December, Prime Minister of Ukraine Denys Shmyhal said that the country needs about 700 billion dollars for restoration. At the end of November, the head of the European Commission, Ursula von der Leyen, said that, according to estimates, the damage suffered by Ukrainians during the special operation was 600 billion euros. Prior to this, the Ukrainian authorities, the European Commission and the World Bank estimated the cost of restoring Ukraine at $349 billion.
