MOSCOW, Jan 20 Wagner group fighter with call sign «Shturm» told how he provided first aid to Readovka war correspondent Anastasia Yelsukova, who came under fire from Ukrainian troops in Soledar, his words are quoted by the RT telegram channel.
«Anastasia was standing in the vestibule between the doors, after the explosion she fell out into the street, shouted, I reached out to her, took her by the bulletproof vest, removed her from the fire, examined the wound: a shrapnel hit her left leg. Stopped bleeding with a tourniquet, gave an injection of promedol, fixed the leg,» the fighter said.
According to him, in order to take Yelsukova out of the fire, it was necessary to request artillery support, four fighters carried the journalist in their arms for a kilometer to the evacuation point, from where she was taken to the hospital.
Earlier, Readovka reported on a serious wound in Soledar of its military commissar Anastasia Yelsukova. According to updated information, her knee and hip were badly damaged. It was clarified that Yelsukova was wounded near the front line — the evacuation to Pervomaisk (LPR) was organized by the fighters of the Wagner group.
The Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation reported that the liberation of Soledar (DPR) was completed on the evening of January 12.
